Why Soho
Mayfair is where I live; Soho is where I go when I want London to turn the volume up. The two sit side by side, divided only by Regent Street, yet crossing it feels like changing cities, from hushed galleries and tailors to neon, jazz, late kitchens and a crowd that only really gets going after ten.
That contrast is exactly what makes Soho, London so good for a date. As a Soho escort, I can be the calm in the middle of it all: a cocktail before the theatre, a long dinner at one of the old institutions, then wherever the night suggests, and, when you want quiet, a private meeting back at your hotel or residence. I’m Sophie Hoffmann, German, independent, pursuing an acting career, and still delighted by how much of this city is new to me.

Getting into Soho
I walk to Soho from Mayfair in five to ten minutes, simply by crossing Regent Street. At night a taxi is rarely worth it: the narrow one-way streets and evening crowds make walking faster.
If you’re coming by tube, Tottenham Court Road (Central, Northern and Elizabeth line) covers the north and east, Oxford Circus (Bakerloo, Central and Victoria) the north-west, Piccadilly Circus (Bakerloo and Piccadilly) the south-west, and Leicester Square (Northern and Piccadilly) the theatre side. From Heathrow, the Elizabeth line runs straight to Tottenham Court Road; from St Pancras, the Northern line gets you there in four stops.
Where to stay in and around Soho
Soho’s hotels are smaller and more playful than the grand Mayfair addresses. The Soho Hotel is tucked into Richmond Mews, off Dean Street; Ham Yard Hotel sits around its own courtyard near Piccadilly Circus; and The Broadwick Soho brings colour and glamour to Broadwick Street. On the Regent Street edge, Hotel Café Royal carries more than a century and a half of London history behind its façade.
Wherever you’ve checked in, I come to you. Soho sees guests coming and going until the small hours, so one more elegant arrival goes entirely unnoticed.

Dinner, cocktails and members’ clubs
Quo Vadis on Dean Street is celebrating its hundredth year in 2026, and Jeremy Lee’s generous cooking makes it one of my favourite rooms for a long dinner. Bob Bob Ricard, just off Regent Street, is pure theatre, with private booths and a button on the wall that summons champagne. Bocca di Lupo, behind the Apollo Theatre, serves regional Italian small plates that are made for sharing at the counter.
For a nightcap, Bar Italia on Frith Street has been pouring espresso since 1949 and stays open into the small hours, right opposite Ronnie Scott’s. And if you belong to one of the private members’ clubs on Dean Street or Greek Street, I’m a very easy guest to bring along. I can hold a conversation on almost anything, from film to philosophy.
Soho through the year
Soho keeps a calendar of its own. Chinese New Year fills neighbouring Chinatown with lanterns and dragon dances in late January or February. Pride turns Old Compton Street into the biggest party of the year in early summer, and in July the Soho Village Fête takes over St Anne’s churchyard, complete with its famous waiters’ race.
October brings the BFI London Film Festival and its premieres around Leicester Square, rather fitting for someone with an acting career in progress. By November the Christmas lights are up over Carnaby Street and Regent Street, and Soho becomes the warmest place to be on a cold night.

Discretion in a busy neighbourhood
Soho’s secret is that it is far too busy to notice anyone. Thousands of people move between theatres, bars and restaurants every evening, and a well-dressed couple heading to dinner is simply part of the scenery. Here, the crowd is a kind of privacy.
Even so, I keep things simple. I meet you at the restaurant or come straight to your hotel, I dress smartly but never loudly, and I never talk about the people I see. My photos are real and unedited, and a quick video call beforehand is always possible if it puts you at ease.

Questions
How far in advance should I book a dinner date in Soho?
A day or two is often enough for me, but the best Soho tables go quickly, especially from Thursday to Saturday and before a show. Message me first and we’ll pick the restaurant together. The dinner date of three hours or more is £2,500.
Can we have drinks in Soho and then go back to my hotel?
Of course. Soho is perfect for a cocktail or two before a private meeting at your hotel or residence, whether that’s nearby or in Mayfair, Marylebone or Covent Garden. Two hours (£1,500) is the usual choice for an evening like this.
You live in Mayfair. Is Soho really close?
Very. Mayfair and Soho are separated only by Regent Street, so I’m usually with you within ten minutes. It’s one of the reasons I love living where I do.
