Why Chelsea

Chelsea, London, has a way of slowing me down. I come for one errand on the King’s Road and two hours later I’m still there, with a coffee, a bunch of flowers and no regrets. It’s close enough to Mayfair to feel like my own neighbourhood, and different enough to feel like a small escape.

As an independent companion, I love meeting here because Chelsea suits every mood: a lazy lunch near Sloane Square, a walk by the river when the light turns gold, a long dinner that runs later than planned. If you’re looking for a Chelsea escort who enjoys the conversation as much as the setting, you’re in the right place.

Getting to Chelsea from Mayfair

Getting to Chelsea from Mayfair

Sloane Square is the heart of it, on the District and Circle lines. From Mayfair I usually take a taxi: ten to fifteen minutes, depending on how kind Park Lane and Knightsbridge are feeling, so meeting you in Chelsea is easy even at short notice.

Arriving from further away? From St Pancras the Circle line runs straight to Sloane Square with no changes. From Gatwick, the Gatwick Express brings you into Victoria, one stop away. From Heathrow, a car is the simplest choice — it delivers you to your door on the King’s Road without ceremony.

Where you might be staying

Chelsea does hotels the way it does everything else: small, considered, rarely loud. If you’re at The Cadogan on Sloane Street, you’re a short walk from the square. 11 Cadogan Gardens, spread across Victorian townhouses, and its neighbour The Chelsea Townhouse feel more like private homes than hotels. The Sloane Square Hotel puts you right on the square, steps from the tube.

Wherever you’re staying in Chelsea, I can come to your hotel or residence. Just tell me where, and I’ll take care of arriving quietly and on time.

Dinner, drinks and a long lunch

Dinner, drinks and a long lunch

For something easy, Colbert on Sloane Square is a proper French brasserie — good for a first coffee date, while we’re still deciding how much we like each other. Further down the King’s Road, The Ivy Chelsea Garden has the garden in its name for a reason: on a warm evening, ask for a table outside.

Bluebird, in the old Art Deco motor showroom, has a cocktail bar upstairs that’s perfect before dinner. Daphne’s on Draycott Avenue is the Italian I return to when I want candlelight and no rush. And if you’re planning something truly special, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay on Royal Hospital Road has held three Michelin stars since 2001 — book well ahead and I’ll dress accordingly.

If you’d rather a pub, The Cadogan Arms on the King’s Road is about as Chelsea as it gets: wood panelling, a good wine list, ideal for an unpretentious first meeting.

Chelsea through the year

May belongs to the Chelsea Flower Show in the grounds of the Royal Hospital. That week the whole neighbourhood joins in with Chelsea in Bloom, and shopfronts on the King’s Road and Sloane Square disappear behind flowers. It’s lovely, and busy, so plan dinner reservations early.

Summer is about the river: long evenings on Chelsea Embankment, the Albert Bridge lit up after dark. In mid-November the Christmas lights come on along the King’s Road and Duke of York Square, and by late January the Chelsea Physic Garden — London’s oldest botanic garden — is full of snowdrops. There’s no bad season here, only different dresses.

Discretion, Chelsea style

Discretion, Chelsea style

Chelsea feels like a village. Shopkeepers remember faces, and the garden squares behind Sloane Street are so quiet that a raised voice carries. I keep that in mind: I dress as if we’re meeting for lunch on the King’s Road, I arrive at your hotel like an old friend, and I never make a scene at reception.

My photos are real and unedited, and if you’d like, we can have a short video call beforehand so we both know exactly who to expect. Your name, your plans and your reasons stay with me.

Questions

Can you come to my hotel near Sloane Square?

Yes. I come to hotels and private residences all over Chelsea, from Sloane Street to the far end of the King’s Road. Send me your area and preferred time, and I’ll confirm how soon I can be there — from Mayfair it’s a short ride.

Should I book ahead during the Chelsea Flower Show?

I’d recommend it. During Flower Show week in May the area is full, restaurants fill quickly and traffic slows down. A few days’ notice for a dinner date lets us find a table we’ll both enjoy.

What does a dinner date in Chelsea look like?

A dinner date is three hours or more, at £2,500. Typically: a drink at a bar on the King’s Road, a long dinner, then a walk by the river if the weather allows. Shorter meetings work too: one hour is £900, two hours £1,500.
